Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare Comes Busting Out at E3

Plants vs. Zombies is a cute, 2D tower defense game. Scratch that, it was a cute, 2D tower defense game; now, with Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, the game has evolved into a 3D shooter, and from the trailer video and screenshots, it looks like a lot of fun to play.

PopCap developed the game on the Frostbite 3 engine and created completely enchanting animations, with detailed and interesting environments, delightfully satisfying audio effects, and overall smooth and pretty gameplay.

You play from the perspective of the plants, and there are four classes to choose from: pea shooter, sunflower, the chomper, and the cactus. In 4-player co-op mode, you have to work together to defeat waves of zombies (and then deal with zombie bosses as your reward).

There are still some tower defense-like features, such as the pea shooter’s ability to plant a pea cannon to help him blast zombies, the chili bean bomb, and the garlic drone.
