PS3 Release Date, Pricing Revealed?
IGN reports Playstation Magazine's latest issue has the 411 on the official launch date on the PS3. According to the magazine, the long-awaited gaming console and its online service will arrive in early November for a cool $399.
Sounded fishy to us, so we put in a call to Sony. What did they have to say about this announcement? "No official price point or specific date in November has been officially announced by Sony Worldwide to any publication." So there you have it. Until Sony is ready to confirm their release plans, we should probably take this news with a grain of salt. A November release is certainly conceivable, but a $399 price point would be a bit lower than what we've been expecting.
