The costs associated with staying current with these things is a total rip-off.

Well realneil, its 30 bucks for 4 maps a year. I don't think its too overpriced seeing how you don't need to pay a monthly fee. they have to make their money somehow. Just selling devices for a one time free won't get them much.

you don't have to get new maps. Its like back in the old days did you go out every year and but a new map (the hard copy ones)? and the fact that they give you most of N. America for $30 is a good deal considering.
