LTE-Equipped iPad Mini Ready to Ship Soon

Good news for those of you who pre-ordered the Wi-Fi + Cellular version of the iPad mini. The waiting game is almost over, as Apple has begun notifying customers that the 4G LTE-equipped tablet will start shipping out in the next five days.

Despite carrying a pricing premium over competing (and slightly smaller) 7-inch tablets like the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD, Apple's iPad mini is off to a fast start. Apple almost immediately sold out of its initial batch of Wi-Fi models, and just recently announced that it sold 3 million iPad mini and 4th generation iPad tablets combined over the first three-day weekend of sales, a figure that only included Wi-Fi models.

Apple Shipment Notice

Apple is still short on stock. New orders on Apple's website, both for the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular variants, are currently listed as being available to ship in 2 weeks. Pricing starts at $329 for the Wi-Fi model and $459 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular variant.

As for the 4th generation iPad tablet, Wi-Fi models are currently in stock and ready to ship, starting at $499 for the 16GB version. The Wi-Fi + Cellular SKUs, which start at $629, will be available to ship in 7 days, according to Apple's website.
