Not yet =P...But I was told it would ship today! =D..I'm so ecstatic.I'll post pics of everything as soon as I get my handson it it...^_^..As a celebration though, I'm about to max out my credit card that I just cleared on a new mouse, keyboard, head phones, and sound card..About 500 bucks worth of goodies...=P...I'mma just have to pay it off slowly..But no way would I disgrace the Skulltrail rig with a beat up PC155 from sennheiser (microphone tore off, all beat up looking, and wire cut all over the place), a heavily banged up mx510, a apple g4 keyboard, and integrated audio =P...Quality baby!...lol..
Very nice. That CPU should overclock to at least 3.2ghz. Definitely more powerful than my 939 AMD, although it has kept my system competetive enough to enjoy some quality gaming. But improvement is always welcome. :-)

Coincidentally I happen to have a typewriter that weighs more than my computer. Maybe I could rent it out along with my rig for them to put on display. Then I could use the profits to buy some hardware that would actually be worth donating to forum members.

Ah, now I feel kinda bad with people promising to give away their old parts a la Kamrooz. I have to be honest and say I would not. I'm not gonna ebay it or anything, but my family comes first and my brother could use an upgrade from his Pentium 4 and Radeon 9800 Pro. He's gotta play something neweer than Half-Life 2. So I'd donate my old 939 rig to him, since it can still play most new games at reasonable settings. But good for you guys that will. And good luck to all.

I couldn't give anything away. I'm in despert need of a second rig. If anything I'd need to help out a friend that needs an upgrade to his rig anyways, which he rarely has money so benifits him alot more. Call me stuborn or not but anything computer of mine gets recycled into the Dethman's Bigger & Better Computer Fund when I sell it, since I don't want to spend alot out of pocket I sell old parts and components to pay for newer stuff.

Well just so you guys would know, I am not American but I do live in Cali. I am a Hungarian but lived in Slovakia for 11 years and then we moved here and I have been here for 5 years now. :) One of the reasons why my family came out to America was because of all the advantages and opportunities you can get here (I don't mean by contests though.... lol) but like opportunities in life for the future. So yeah, America does hive it's advantages. :)

not sure why. I just know the little bit of time I spent over there it was always drama. part of it could have been us. beer and marines will usually do that. but a lot of times we weren't even involved. we couldn't even go to a pool hall without watchin someone getting their leg broke in a fight in the parking lot. seriously everywhere we went something went down.

Unless we are talking about out of country...I'd love to have a home in like, paris or england....Paris more over though, but a small town/village for a relaxation home...But yea..I'd go back and forth though, half a year here, half a year there..I'd love it =D. I've always wanted to travel more, so far I've visited, Germany, Cyprus, Hawaii, and that's it...I'm dying to go to paris, new zealand, sweden, Rome, and so on....If I had the money..I'd be doing it right now =P..lol.

I probably won't push the skulltrail rig farther than 4 ghz..The fact that these are ES samples makes me want to sustain them as long as possible..lol =P. But I do need to get 4x1 memory for the sucker for quad channel...But damn FB dimm's are uber expensive -_-.

Skulltrail is a socket 771 system. So I have to get FB dimms for it..Much more expensive. I'm going to wait for the new cas3 kingston FBdimms to come out, and pick up 4x1 for quad channel.
Well you DID save untold amounts of money by winning the system after all Perhaps you can put part of that savings towards some FDDimm? That would be my reasoning for dropping a ton of money --- the hard part is just justifying it to yourself haha

Indeed...But I just pretty much maxed out my credit card that I just cleared >_<...I needed to pick up a g9 mouse, g11 keyboard, Audio technics ATH-A900 headset, and a x-fi prelude for the beast...My current ones just wouldn't do...Mx 510 that lost all it's rubber soles and sticks to my mousepad (needs to be cleaned 3x a day), a apple g4 keyboard with a extremely short cable length, a Sennheiser pc155 with the mic ripped off, wire cable cut all over the place with some audio issues, and the x-fi prelude obviously for top notch audio =P.
So yea..I'm going to have to just save up and make room on my card...then eventually drop money on memory...lol. but it's still so worth it considering what I got ^_^.

BTW guys, I'll take pics of the sucker from opening all the way through removing the foam packing, also going to benchmark the sucker for you guys running various benchmarking applications. So far, 3dmark 05, 06, pc mark, and super pi. Down the road when I get 4x1 gb kingston cas3 fbdimms when they come out, I'll do the process again considering this board can run quad channel =D.

I would like to see what your Super Pi 1M time is. My laptop (Athlon 4000 w/1Gig PC2100 memory) runs a measly 41.344 seconds on that test. It would be interesting to see what The Beast does!

The vista benchmarking utility is useless...=P...It's not for no reason that everyone uses 3dmark and SuperPI =P.

Really its just a basic saying yes your system can run Aero really. I can top it out at 5.9 all around no issues with my system. Its not hard to top it out and its definatly not ment for benchmarking.
Wonder if it switches settings within Vista the higher on the scale you are so it can dedicate certain apps to different things.

But yea, it's just too much to deal with...International shipping is damn expensive. Also with the paper work and customs related issues..It's really just too much of a hassle..After all, they are being gracious enough to offer these fantastic contests as is, which most hardware sites don't do. No need to make their lives any harder when they are giving so much to their community =D.

Yeah, I have to accomplish (not sure of the word ^^) an internship to graduate my engineering school (well in fact I have one this year too... whatever).
But who knows, maybe I will move permanently in the US in 2010/2011 after graduate. From France, working in ITs in the US looks fine :)
