Galaxy Adds Wireless PC-To-TV Streaming On GeForce GTX 460 WHDI Edition

AMIMON has been streaming 1080p content without wires for years now, but mostly in high-end home cinema systems. Usually, AMIMON chips were found in dedicated wireless streaming boxes, but now that costs are coming down, they are finding new ways to reach the public. And this is definitely a unique place to go, and one of the more exciting places to end up.

When you think about PCs and HTPCs, there's no easy way to get video content from the machine to a display. You either have to run a cable, or utilize a USB dongle that is generally restricted from high resolutions like Full HD. But Galaxy's new graphics card overcomes those limitations by including an AMIMON chip that allows for the world's first wireless graphics card that supports PC-to-TV connectivity.

You're basically getting two devices in one: a new GPU, and a wireless display streamer. The Galaxy GeForce GTX 460 WHDI Edition is based around NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 460, and it will be available later this month for an unlisted price.
