Find Lost Laptop, Lap Some Top Beer

Croucher Brewing Company in New Zealand is offering a lifetime supply of beer for the return of a stolen laptop --- no questions asked. The laptop contains designs, financial information, and business contact details, according to co-owner Paul Croucher.

"So we decided that if anyone does come into possession of it we'll be happy to offer them a reward — a dozen (bottles) of beer a month for the rest of their life," he said.

Croucher estimated the total value would likely be about $19,500 for a lifetime of beer. Since making the offer, "plenty of people" had called to say they were looking for the computer, he said.

Waitasec, only 12 bottles a month?  Hmmm ... we know plenty to whom that wouldn't be enough for a month.  There may be some wiggle room for negotiation here.

Interesting bit of news this morning..YesFREE BEER FOR LIFE ?Beer where's the catch ?

ahh I see only 12 bottles of beer a month ..mmm maybe might have to look into the possibility of the 'ol Pabst -Smir combo to suffice .the win and might need to tweak the formula a bit to allow for the Croucher taste.WinkCome to think of it those extremely fond of Pabst-Smir's in quantity, may realize that the stolen laptop may still be in New Zealand.Surprise

Hope that they do get it back &.A nice promo for Croucher Brew anywaysSmile

Bah to bad they did not LoJack their machine with somthing like Prey... But hey I would take the 12 bottle of beer a month. It's only right to return their property if it came into your hands.

"Everything sounded good with the life time supply, until they mentioned its only twelve bottles a month, who drinks less then twelve bottles a month? Huh? On their website a 12 pack of 500ml beer cost $65 New Zealand Dollars, which is around US $54. Divide 19,500 by 54, thats 361, then divide 361 by 12 (months), which equals to 30 years, that 's not even close to a lifetime, what a rip off ? But ,I really hope they were able to find it though"

I don't think they are limiting it to 30 years only the 12 bottles. It was just a way to estimate the value of the reward. Figuring that if someone was 35 years old and claimed the reward they would be 65 in 30 years and possibly dead.
