We have just received word that Dell plans to launch a brand new LCD today. We're told that at 12:00PM Central Time the new $289 Dell SP2008WFP display will be available on www.dell.com.
The new SP2008WFP is Dell's first flat panel monitor with integrated webcam and microphone. Centered on the top of the 20" widescreen display frame, the 2.0 megapixel webcam can capture video streams, take photos, and perform advanced tasks like remote monitoring, motion detection and time-lapse video capturing. The SP2008WFP's panel performance is also very good with a 2 ms (grey-to-grey) response time, a high native 1680x1050 HD resolution, DVI connectivity that supports High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP), and TrueLife technology for enhanced contrast.

This definitely seems like a nice display for its sub $300 asking price.
It looks like a killer gaming LCD too. 2ms gray to gray - nice and a 2000:1 contrast ratio?!
Looks Nice.. and while it's not on the Cheap side.. it's also not very expensive compared with the competition....
Yeah, sure, the monitor's stats look great, but the case design? It's boring. The last generation of Dell monitors were so hot looking, I would completely overlook the fact that it says Dell on it and buy one. This thing looks no better than any other cheapo monitor out there. I'll settle with a Samsung.
