Cricket Expands Muve Unlimited Music Service To 13 New Markets
Nokia's "Comes With Music" obviously saw its fair share of problems at
launch, but there's clearly a market for subscription-based music.
Rhapsody, Napster and even Apple have managed to get it right, and now Cricket is taking the next step by expanding their own music service to
13 new markets. The company's Muve Music, an unlimited mobile music
service, will be rolling out to 13 new markets on the Samsung Suede.
Muve Music is the first wireless rate plan to include unlimited music downloads, and now it's coming to more markets in the U.S. including Baltimore, MD; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL.; Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville, TN.; Milwaukee and Madison, WI.; Phoenix and Tucson, AZ.; San Diego, CA; Washington, DC and Wichita, KS. Beginning today, customers in these markets can purchase the Muve Music unlimited wireless rate plan along with the new Samsung Suede (SCH-r710) mobile phone.
Muve launched in Las Vegas first, and obviously things are going well enough to offer it elsewhere. Muve comes as part of a $55 monthly plan, and records are available from Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and EMI Music and now includes music from independent label IODA.That $55 plan includes unlimited nationwide calling, texting, messaging and email, not to mention data backup, video, ringtones and ringback tones. The Suede itself will cost you $199, but that's with no contract attached, and if you act soon, it'll be $100 less after mail-in rebate. Not bad!

Muve Music, the first music experience designed specifically for the mobile phone, was recently named a finalist in the CNET International Consumer Electronics Show Best of Show awards. With Muve Music, there are no download fees and no monthly music subscriptions. Customers’ data plans will not be impacted by streaming music over the wireless network and customers won’t be required to use a credit card to purchase music. Unlimited Muve Music is included in the flat rate monthly wireless service plan.
