Corsair TWINX2048-3500LLPRO Quick Peek

We've been playing with a couple of sticks of new DDR Memory from Corsair.  Here's a quick look at their XMS series TWINX2048-3500LLPro module kit.  Two 1G sticks matched together, CAS2,3,2,6 and 1T command rate capable rated up to 437MHz, just the thing for more Battlefield 2 performance.

And here's what they were capable of in our Asus A8N SLI Premium - Athlon 64 X2 4400 test bed...

Not too shabby at all.  460MHz, with 2, 3, 2, 6 timings and a 1T Command rate set in the BIOS.  Look at those scores though, that's the real story.   This test was peformed on a Dual Core Athlon 64 X2 4400 sharing its bandwidth on the memory controller between the two cores, which is a bit more demanding. We didn't try relaxing timings yet and trying higher speeds, since we wanted to see how high these things would go within the kit's specified tight timing parameters.  However, 460MHz CAS2 for 1Gig DDR memory modules with a 1T command rate is swank for sure.  Marco is going to be taking a look at these little chunks of burning bandwidth love in the weeks ahead.  Stick around...
