Chrome To Phone Pipes Desktop Sessions To Android Smartphones

It's pretty obvious that innovation is in the blood at Google, and the company's latest is proof of that. It's a feature that mobile owners have longed for, and while we do wish that Firefox was also supported, this new Chrome to Phone feature may actually increase Chrome browser usage by Android owners. Yes, it's that significant.

Chrome to Phone does just what it sounds like. If you download an extension into Chrome, a single click can send your current browser, maps, directions, links, etc. to your phone. If you're browsing at home, and you have to run to a meeting, just clicking one button will send everything to your Android phone provided it has version 2.2 or newer on it. It can even send YouTube videos and phone numbers. It's a dream come true for those who wish to make their desktop/notebook browsing experience more tightly integrated with their cellphone experience.

Check out the video below for a better idea of how it all works, and visit the link below to download the extension. Which is free, of course.

This actually seems very useful. You can send directions like it says for work. You could also grab something like a Groupon, and send the GPS address to your phone making somewhere you've never been easier to find.

This is the first thing that I've ever seen that would make me even consider a smart phone.
