Asus Debuts mATX ROG Rampage II GENE Motherboard

Who says space-constrained gamers have no allies in the motherboard world? Not Asus, that's for sure. In response to "overwhelming demand for a mATX gaming and enthusiast motherboard," the company today released the new X58-based ROG (Republic of Gamers) Rampage II GENE. The card falls softly within the Rampage II lineup, boasting premium features such as MemOK! for worry-free memory upgrades, CPU Level Up for easy system performance boosts, and onboard SupremeFX X-Fi for true-to-life surround sound.

If you haven't caught on to what this board really offers, here's the deal: hardcore gamers on the move can use this mobo to tap into Core i7 power without having to resort to a full-sized tower. And better still, the board supports overclocking and tweaking if your micro-ATX case has the water / fan cooling necessary to make it all happen. Per usual, Asus is keeping quiet on a price and release time frame, but you can gawk over the specifications below.
