Asus 2400ET All-In-One Touchscreen Desktop Reviewed

Boutique, ultra high-end, desktop and laptop gaming systems are sexy, but they aren't where OEMs make the majority of their money. Nice review, I would certainly recommend this to your casual users. I know some people that have a hard time with their system and this seems more intuitive.

Agreed... it's actually a pretty good effort with Windows 7 Touch. :)

I need one of these to mount on the underneath of my cabinets in the kitchen :P

I've got one of these. Unfortunately, it requires a non standard wall mount adapter that according to Asus does not yet exist. Hasn't even been assigned a product number to look for. Annoying since they advertise quite prominently the wall mount capability as an option.

I never used the Win7 that came with it. It's had Ubuntu 11.04 since the day it arrived. Works very well with one major exception. Ubuntu 11.04 is unable to properly utilize the gb ethernet port. As a result, wired network access is limited to less than 1 mb speed. (yes, I installed the proper driver from realtek. it reports all the status correctly). This is without question Ubuntu's problem not Asus.

Wireless is flawless, as is bluetooth.

Sure looks like a very easy to use kitchen and user friendly family PC. Very sweet to see Asus develop these for the mainstream.

Very nice review.  I work in a research lab and this computer would work great in tight spaces and limited surface area that most labs tend to have.  It's a bit pricey for the average consumer, but for a large research lab... it would be considered a good investment :)
