Asus Eee PC 8 GB For $499?
If you've been holding back on purchasing an Eee PC due to the somewhat limited storage capabilities, it looks like ASUS might be granting your holiday wishes. That's right, the 8 GB Eee PCs should hit store shelves as early as mid-December for a price of $499. There's no word on whether or not that price will include Windows XP, but we'll keep you informed as we learn more.
If you're interested in an Eee PC, but haven't bought one due to the limited color choices, you may have to hold out just a little bit longer:
“In other Eee PC news, Mobile O1 has posted pictures of the upcoming green model. Unlike the Pearl White and Galaxy Black models, the entire notebook casing is not molded in the same color -- instead, only the LCD lid is molded in green while the rest of the body (including the keyboard) is molded in white.
The new green option will be joined by a sky blue and pink options in 2008.”
