Alienware Aurora 7500 Computer System Review

Costing around $3200, the Alienware Aurora 7500 is not for those looking to pinch pennies. Featuring an Athlon 64 4200+ (Dual-core), 2x 7900GT cards in SLI, and Alienware's liquid cooling system, you know the system is ready for games like F.E.A.R. and The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. While you can build a system with similar performance for much cheaper, Alienware has a reputation for quality and is a great choice for those looking for an already built gaming machine.

"Before getting too far into the review some time should be given to the Alienware lineup. The desktop models currently available are the Aurora and Area-51 systems; the differentiation is based on the use of an AMD or Intel processor. Each of these come in a few different levels, like the (from entry level up) 3500, 5500, 7500, and ALX. Because each computer is configured by the buyer the systems can vary greatly, but the components available to a higher end model are more expensive, as is the base price. The 7500 starts out at $1789 and offers parts which lean much more towards performance than they do savings. This model is only available with AMD dual core or FX processors, at least 1 GB of RAM, and the entry-level video card is the Nvidia GeForce 7900 GT."
