AOC Takes USB Monitors To A New Level With 22" e2251Fwu

A USB-powered monitor? Yeah, we've seen that. But by and large, these things have been 10" or smaller, mostly meant for travelers who just wanted a quick and dirty way to bust out a second monitor once they arrived at their temporary desk. But AOC has another thing in mind with their 22" USB monitor. The e2251Fwu maintains the same functionality we're used to with USB monitors, but at a far greater size. There's a built-in USB port, 1080p screen resolution and the ability to have it both powered and receive signal from a single USB connection. We highly doubt you'll be cramming this in your carry-on, but if you do, there's 2000 nits of brightness, an LED backlight and a 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio to look forward to. It'll ship next month for $199 in the U.S., which ain't half bad for a monitor of this size -- particularly one that doesn't require a video card or power brick.
