5 Tablet Offerings Explored, An Infographic

Ever since the iPad’s release, various manufacturers have been in a race to develop something as good as, or better than Apple’s current industry leading tablet. Frankly at the time of its launch, the iPad simply didn't have any real competitors with the same design elegance, polish and the total solution that Apple' s App Store brings to the table.  That said, a mere six months later and manufacturers are starting to line up to give the iPad a run for its money.  Here's a look at a few of the major tablet offerings we know of thus far, courtesy of our friends at Managed VPS.  You can compare and contrast high-level features and functionality for yourself here.  Do devices from Samsung and ViewSonic have what it takes to compete?  Word is Dell has something larger on the horizon too.  So many tablets, so little time.  It's a good problem to have.

In a year let's take another look and see how much you can get for your money.

These are too limited as to capability and frightfully expensive as well.

The smart consumer would just wait it out.

The Samsung Galaxy has the size sweet spot in my opinion.

Kinda like what I was saying on HH about six months ago:P

That we were going to start seeing a whole slew of tablets by christmas...Told ya :)

The only one that looks decent is that Malata, SO I will wait until the next round of twenty copycats. Or mabye wait until they are so saturated that Frys is selling them cheaper than E-readers, so I can say Yes.. I paid more for these sunglasses.

It seems like the Archos 101 tablet should have been in this mix. It looks to be the same specs as the ViewSonic G tablet but at less than $300 and coming out a month earlier (October). Of all the tablets that I've been keeping up with, it is the most interesting.

Other than that, this is a fantastic graphical presentation!
