03: HotHardware's Two and A Half Geeks Webcast - December 6, 2010

This week on Two and A Half Geeks, we muse on the latest gadgets and gizmos we recommend in HotHardware's Holiday Gift Guide, what's hot and not about the Samsung Galaxy Tab, why playing video games at work can be good for employee productivity, Intel's upcoming Sandy Bridge processor for desktops and notebooks and we field HH reader questions in an effort to try and stump the "half-geek" among us (ahem... Iyaz).

Thanks for the reply guys. I guess that "Loose Lips Sink Ships" still applies when you're under an information embargo imposed by Intel.

There is plenty of talk rampant across the internet about these upcoming parts, (what Sammy asked about is part of the buzz) but I'm not sure what to believe when I read the stories elsewhere. But I do trust your judgment and wanted your take on it.

So I guess I'll wait for a while, and maybe it will be worth the wait.

If you're thinking about a high-performance, mainstream or upper-mainstream level system, SB shouldn't disappoint...

Hmmm...Interesting box just arrived in the lab. Wonder what's in it. :)

What COULDN'T it be?

It couldn't be lime green, and it's doubtfully light blue, as both of those would be redundant. The odds of a darker green with dying shades of a 255 red and black mix makes me excited.

Very much looking forward to your take on both sets of products...Keep up the good work gentlemen.

When i have a package i shake it and throw it on the floor to find out what it is. Thats how i found out my 6850 came in the mail....but for some reason their was a crack in the board.

I am all for the use of video game for learning. A couple of months ago i had to learn the 50 states for an U.S. history test and had found a nice little state learning video game to learn with. In less then a hour i had all 50 states known.

PS: i want the digital storm rig.

Another great use of video games is exersize. I dont mean those games on the wii but any game some one likes to play. If some one is exersize while they are playing a video game they are to distracted to pay attention to the work they are doing. Example of what i am talking about is that i just spent two and a half hours playing cod black ops and was able to do 22 miles on a cardo bike. Compared to what i can do with out video games it is much better.

As I new member to HH, thanks for the reminder to use the voting system feature.

Really looking forward to seeing and reading about the inside of the box.
